–>We are open to just about everything, with no guidelines or preconceived notions of what we’d like to publish or what we think the market can “handle.” Though TTP started out wanting to publish mainly Romance, we have received so many wonderful submissions that don’t fit the typical Romance genre expectations, we’ve happily expanded to accept Women’s Fiction, Historical Fiction, Fantasy, Mystery, and, well…just about anything your imagination can conjure.
–>We are not a vanity publisher. Vanity Publishers let you pay them to publish your books, and they don’t really care about the quality of the writing or storylines. While TTP is open to submissions of all kinds, we actually read them, edit them, and expect our authors to be professional enough to understand that no one is perfect and every story can benefit from a second (and sometimes third and even fourth) pair of eyes. Our goal is not to change your writing style or fit your round creativity into a square hole, but simply to make your book the very best it can be.
–>We want you to do you, boo. As mentioned above, we don’t have guidelines or “lines” for certain types of stories. We are all-inclusive and just want to find the very best writers and stories we can. We don’t care if you’re a brand new author working up the courage to submit your very first project or a seasoned, established author wanting to “get back out there” or try something new. And we are not going to tell you how long or short your book can be, how sexy the love scenes should be, or what kinds of characters to write. We want you to write with passion and fire and exuberance…and then let us edit with water and sensibility if and where necessary.
–>We want New and Previously Published stories! Yes, indeed, we are very interested in re-releasing older books to a new audience! So if you’re an established author with the rights back to your older stuff, we would be very open to reissuing it. (Hopefully while you work on brand new stories for us, but it’s not a must. ;)) We may need to update a few things to make them feel modern, but otherwise don’t intend to require many edits. And reissues are a wonderful way to lay the foundation for the release of something wonderful and new!
